The SFB 676 has been funded by the DFG from 2006 to 2018. The project was completed with a special colloquium in June 2018. A book with the scientific results of the SFB 676 has been published in September 2018.

Abstract

The aim of this project is to determine exact string theory spectra for backgrounds of current interest, such as those used in the AdS/CFT correspondence or cosmological backgrounds. One important direction is to study integrable deformations of string theory on AdS5 × S5 and eventually to solve for their spectra by means of a recently introduced technique known as the mirror Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz. In addition we aim to develop a first principles approach to extract the integrable structure of perturbed world sheet conformal field theories.
