String Theory
Section A of the SFB focuses on String Theory. The main points of interest are

improving the mathematical foundations of String Theory,

studying Dbranes as dynamical objects from a mathematical, as well as from a particle physics point of view,

developing the cosmological and particle physics aspects of String Theory,

studying the connection between QCD and String Theory.
